Cindy Reynolds, FAHP, CFRE

Through 30 years in health care including 20 years advancing health philanthropy, Cindy Reynolds has gained extensive experience in health care executive leadership, physician relations and financial operations. Leading with innovative strategies, she has guided health systems and academic medical centers to successful mission fulfillment while demonstrating the high return on investment of philanthropy. Her areas of philanthropy expertise include design thinking, innovative fund development approaches, data-driven performance strategies and executive and clinical leadership engagement. She also specializes in foundation board design, development, diversity and engagement.


Also experienced in the workings of academic medicine and physician scientists, Cindy managed practice plan financial operations and physician relations for 10 years at the University of Virginia School of Medicine before providing another 13 years of service on the health system development team. She advanced the efforts of clinical departments as well as translational, clinical and basic science research. Her depth of practice, health care executive leadership experience and financial background afford Cindy the credibility to engage with CEO and CFO colleagues to improve the positioning of philanthropy within the health care enterprise.


Prior to joining Accordant, Cindy served as system chief development officer at two health systems – Baptist Health System in northeast Florida and Bon Secours Health System. She began her professional career as an auditor with KPMG.


Cindy is a Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP), the highest level of certification that can be obtained in health care philanthropy, and a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting) from Goizueta Business School at Emory University.
