Lori Counts brings more than 30 years’ experience in leadership engagement, fund development, cross-disciplinary collaboration, strategic planning and performance management. She specializes in executive coaching, board of directors’ evaluation and development, as well as executive searches for health care organizations. As an accomplished development executive, her lead-by-example approach in managing philanthropic organizations is backed by expertise in public speaking, strategy development, constituent relationships and leadership advancement. She also brings solid analytical skills to developing and implementing strategic plans that align team performance with the organizational mission.

Prior to Accordant, Lori’s visionary and entrepreneurial spirit created development efforts for two health care systems from inception to maturity; first at Upper Chesapeake Health in Bel Air, MD and later as the system executive leading philanthropy for Nemours pediatric hospitals across multiple states. Her leadership included the management of significant campaigns and initiatives.

Lori has been a member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy for more than 20 years and is a frequent health care conference and webinar presenter. She is a Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (FAHP), the highest level of certification that can be obtained in health care philanthropy, and a Certified Fundraising Executive. She holds a Master’s in Communication Arts from the University of Cincinnati.
